Dawn Crafton Dance Connection in Maryland Values the Inventory Management Benefits with Revolution Dancewear

—DCDC and Revolution Dancewear 20-year business relationship brings big benefits to both companies—

NILES, Ill. – Revolution Dancewear today revealed that top dance studio Dawn Crafton Dance Connection (DCDC) in Gaithersburg, Maryland continues to achieve significant success thanks, in part, to the opportunity to bring high-quality and affordable dancewear, costumes and shoes directly to its patrons from Revolution Dancewear. Dawn Crafton Dance Connection’s long-standing relationship with Revolution Dancewear began 17 years ago.

With 55 years of dance history, Dawn Crafton Dance Connection houses two studios and offers ballet, pointe, tap, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and tumbling. The company’s professional instructors with national and international experience teach more than 600 student hours per week. Competition teams rehearse in the studios on the weekends. The company also sells Revolution Dancewear’s high quality dancewear, including recital costumes and footwear, to its students.

“We love offering our students Revolution Dancewear’s costumes,” said Kelly Welch, DCDC Artistic Director, whose mother founded the business. “The costumes fit beautifully from top to bottom.  They’re adorable designs and they come with accessories. They are just easy. Our dancers love the shoes as well.”

Revolution Dancewear’s recital costume collections, dancewear and active wear includes more than 390 designs. Revolution Dancewear was the first manufacturer to offer its customers recital costume headpieces and accessories such as tiaras, gloves and boot covers at no additional charge so that dancers receive the “complete look” with its costumes. The company was also the first to ship every recital costume and its associated accessories in its zippered vinyl garment bag, which protects the costume and instills a sense of pride in dancers.

“One of the biggest benefits for our business is that Revolution Dancewear doesn’t require a minimum order, so we don’t keep inventory on site,” added Welch. “We order what we need, when we need it. As the business has grown during the years and our space has been filled with more and more students, not having to maintain inventory at our facility has been enormously helpful.”

In addition to its no-minimum policy, Revolution Dancewear maintains a ready-to-ship inventory which includes thousands of products. Ninety-eight percent of orders are shipped on the same day they are received. The company is the only dancewear manufacturer to manufacture its entire costume collection in advance so that customers can have them right away—instead of having to wait the industry standard of 8 to 12 weeks.
